Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiology Assistant retrieves images and reports for Outpatient Radiology. Responsible for image distribution with duties related to copying, mailing and delivery of images in a timely and organized manner. Responds to patients, physicians and their office staff by telephone and face to face to process requests for images and reports. Handles subpoenas for images and reports. Acts as a liaison for staff, outside agencies, vendors, physicians, corporate/division staff and other departments within the facility. Processes or "arrives" patients upon admission to include order entry.

You Will Do In This Role:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to use a computer or terminal.
• Ability to work with large volumes of paper at a rapid pace.
• Detailed and accuracy oriented.
• Ability to organize folders in an alphabetical and numerical order; multi-tasking abilities.
• Multiple phone lines and multiple requests from walk up customers.
• Knowledge of medical technology.
• Ability to type 30 wpm and strong customer service skills required.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
