Quality Control Inspector I (2nd Shift)

Job Overview Location: San Marcos, Texas Job Title: QC Inspector Reports to: Quality Engineer We have one goal: to manufacture quality magnets! About This Role A QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards, identifying defects, and reporting any issues to maintain the company's quality control and compliance with industry regulations, often utilizing various testing methods and documenting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives. Utilizing various testing equipment to measure key product parameters like dimensions, weight, chemical composition, and functionality, ensuring they fall within specified tolerances. Recording inspection results, analyzing data trends using statistical process control (SPC) methods, and identifying potential quality issues. Regularly checking and calibrating measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability. Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and non-conformance reports, communicating issues to relevant personnel. Following established quality standards and work instructions to ensure consistency in quality checks. We Are Looking For Someone Who Has a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. Technical proficiency with relevant testing equipment and methodologies. Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends. Excellent documentation and reporting abilities. Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO standards. Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC). Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different departments. Physical Requirements Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing. Able to move up to 50 lbs. Can wear PPE. Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
