RN Supervisor - Full Time Nights

Schedule

This is a full-time position working nights from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description

The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of nursing units under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC. This role includes providing clinical supervision to nursing staff and ensuring quality resident care through effective teaching and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing units and supervise staff assigned to these units.
• Assure quality resident care through teaching and monitoring of staff performance.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers about unit-related issues.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of upper management, ensuring smooth operation during off-hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care, with supervisory experience across multiple units.
• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI system, with CPI obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
