The Toledo Clinic's Rheumatology department, Arthritis Associates, is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist. This position will work Mon/Tues/Thurs (8:00-4:30), Wed (8:00-3:30), & Fri (8:00-12:00).

The office is located on Woodley Rd in Toledo. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.

General Summary

Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.

Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

• Collecting co-pays.
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:

• HS diploma or GED.

Preferred:

• Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
