Family Law & Fiduciary Litigation Paralegal

Location: Potomac, MD | Hybrid Flexibility

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced  Litigation Paralegal to join its busy  Family Law and Fiduciary Litigation practice . This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal who enjoys substantive, hands-on case work and wants to play an important role on sophisticated and often complex matters.

You will work closely with attorneys and clients throughout the litigation process, with significant responsibility for discovery, case management, deposition and trial preparation, and court filings.

What You Will Do

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related litigation documents.
• Manage document-intensive discovery, including reviewing productions, identifying deficiencies, preparing deficiency charts, and creating privilege logs.
• Organize and analyze documents for discovery, depositions, witness preparation, and trial.
• Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibits and other trial materials.
• Conduct witness interviews and prepare detailed summaries for attorneys.
• Calculate and track litigation deadlines and maintain attorney calendars.
• Handle electronic filings in Maryland and D.C., including  MDEC and CaseFileXpress .
• Maintain organized and comprehensive electronic case files.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and outside parties.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Family law and/or fiduciary litigation experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Maryland and D.C. litigation procedures is strongly preferred.
• Experience with discovery, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and electronic court filing.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple attorneys, competing priorities, and deadline-driven matters.
• Strong Microsoft Office and document management skills.
• Experience with  Westlaw or LexisNexis .
• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience.
