Field Engineer

Full-time

ROSS

ROSS Consultancy USA is looking for a sharp and motivated Field Engineer to join our Arizona team on a major Semiconductor project in Chandler, Arizona.

ROSS Consultancy delivers technical solutions on high-value projects for Blue-Chip clients across Semiconductor, Hyperscale Data Centers, Life Sciences, and Advanced Manufacturing. This is an environment built on technical excellence, fast-paced delivery, and real career progression.

This is a hands-on field role, serving as the critical link between design intent and field execution — ensuring every installation is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule through the night shift.

Field Engineer – What You'll Do

  • Support the Swing-Shift Superintendent in overseeing all field construction activities within your assigned area of the semiconductor facility
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work packages to verify that field installations meet design requirements
  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to monitor workmanship, identify deficiencies, and drive timely resolution
  • Maintain detailed daily field reports, including progress logs, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation
  • Coordinate with trade contractors, equipment vendors, and tool installation teams to keep work flowing efficiently across the night shift
  • Track and document RFIs, submittals, and non-conformance reports
  • Assist in planning and scheduling overnight work activities, ensuring materials, equipment, and labor are aligned ahead of each shift
  • Actively participate in safety observations, toolbox talks, and incident reporting in line with site safety protocols
  • Escalate design conflicts, field clashes, or schedule risks to the Superintendent or Project Engineer promptly

Field Engineer – What We're Looking For

  • Ideally 2–5 years of experience in a field engineering or construction engineering role on large-scale industrial or technology facility projects
  • Semiconductor, Data Center, Cleanroom, or other mission-critical project experience is a strong advantage
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, P&IDs, and specifications across multiple disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to contractors and management
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and documentation habits
  • A self-starter who can work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours
  • OSHA certification preferred
