What You’ll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support the medical team by delivering hands‑on patient care and ensuring hospital operations run smoothly. Responsibilities include: Monitoring and reporting changes in patient health Assisting with basic treatments (bandaging, nail trims, ear cleaning) Performing diagnostic lab tests and assisting with radiographs Preparing and recording patient medical information Assisting in surgical prep and recovery Admitting and discharging patients Cleaning and maintaining hospital areas and equipment Educating clients about care, treatments, and products Cross‑training and assisting in other areas as needed What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience is a plus but not required – we provide on‑the‑job training Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor Eagerness to learn and grow with coaching and feedback Basic computer literacy Ability to maintain confidentiality and high standards of care Familiarity with Ezyvet software is a plus Work Environment & Schedule TCVH is a high‑volume hospital with a wide variety of cases and patients. The pace is fast, the work is hands‑on, and the team is highly collaborative. You may be exposed to radiology, anesthesia, and cleaning agents – appropriate PPE and training are provided.
