Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical Floor) Portland, OR

A Registered Nurse provides coordinated nursing care for patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Candidates are required to bring the nursing license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) (preferred); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (required); Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) (required); AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS) or ARC-Basic Life Support (BLS) (required); acute care facility experience (preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience (preferred)
• Performs data collection and analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care issues
• Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates a nursing plan of care to achieve patient outcomes
• Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team to support safe, healing, humane, and caring environments
• Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members
• Provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties across healthcare team members
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
