Position Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving mechanical equipment and production machinery in a manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve equipment failures.
• Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and company policies.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Schedule

Full-time position. Overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling may be required based on operational needs.
