Excavator Operator - Pipe

Position Description Responsibilities & Duties: Operate excavator to excavate trenches for utility pipe installation, including proper depth and grade control to meet design specifications Operate equipment safely and proficiently in a variety of work environments Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures Conduct equipment inspections and complete maintenance inspection reports Read and understand construction plans/blueprints Ability to maintain a safe working environment, including proper trench shoring, spoil pile placement, and coordination with pipe laying crews Position Requirements 2+ years of operating excavators Experience with trench excavation, bedding preparation, and backfill compaction for water, sewer, gas, or other utility installations Personal discipline to work in difficult conditions Proven commitment to Safety Positive, team oriented attitude Open to personal and professional training and development Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Faulconer Construction Company, Inc. to assure that applicants and employees are treated without regard to their race, religion, sex, color, national origin, age, or disability.
