SUMMARY: Keep all dishes, glassware, utensils, washing equipment, and work area clean, safe, and sanitary, and to support Kitchen staff by performing basic preparation and cleaning tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.- Ensure that clean and sanitary dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils are available for use as promptly as possible with little to no breakage.
- Help maintain high levels of cleanliness while completing washing assignments.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Assist with Stewarding responsibilities as required.
- Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

- Must meet legal age requirements for the position.
- High school diploma or equal to a GED.

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must speak and communicate in English.
- Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.
- Food Handler Certificate is required.
The work environment at Bernardus Lodge ranges from winter time lows of 20 degrees to summer time highs to 100+ degrees. While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
