As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records. Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities. Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Communicate professionally with building occupants and visitors, provide directions and assistance, and report maintenance, access, or security-related issues to site leadership. Minimum Requirements Possess at least two years of security-related experience. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
