Clinical Advisory Assistant Dean, Medical Education
SUNY Downstate Medical Center
The Department of Medical Education at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Clinical Advisory Assistant Dean. The successful candidate will: Assist with the review of medical school applications, determine if applicants should be interviewed and write interview questions.
Advise medical students in the 3rd and 4th years of the medical school curriculum.
Provide career planning, scheduling advice and discuss academic progress and career options, and support residency applications.
Attend clincal advisory faculty development sessions.
Support the Clinical Skills Curriculum in the Department of Medical Eduation by acting as a Small Group Facilitator.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Advanced degree such as MD, PhD, DO or equivalent in a field related to Medical Education.
