Housekeeper Location: Reidsville, NC Facility: Cypress Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: At Cypress Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our skilled nursing facility team in Reidsville, NC. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our resident rooms, common areas, and facilities. Key Responsibilities: Environmental Cleaning: Sweep, dust, damp-mop, and vacuum resident rooms, offices, corridors, and common areas. Waste Management: Safely collect, remove, and dispose of trash and biohazardous waste according to facility guidelines. Sanitization: Follow strict infection control and cleaning guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment for residents and staff. Inventory & Equipment Care: Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, organized, and working condition; notify supervisors when supplies run low. Safety & Compliance: Properly store all cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical supplies. Keep accurate logs of completed cleaning areas. Communication: Immediately report any mechanical issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Resident Advocacy: Act as an extra pair of eyes and ears by promptly reporting any noticeable changes or questionable resident conditions to the nursing supervisor. Job Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Schedule: Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Efficiency: Ability to work effectively, manage time well, and meet cleanliness standards independently. Attitude: A compassionate, positive, and upbeat attitude with excellent interpersonal skills. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, and comfortably lift, push, or pull up to 30-50 lbs (housekeeping carts, trash, etc.).
