You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Corporate Operations Division of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

Help

• You will assist the Administrative Support Branch Head in the research and evaluation necessary to execute special division projects.
• You will develop, evaluate and advise on improving the effectiveness of the administrative support procedures and programmatic aspects of agency operations and management.
• You will identify and resolve problems associated with the administrative branch's mission.
• You will prepare written reports, charts, graphs and spreadsheets to process for military and civilian administration and brief supervisors and managers.
• You will provide advice, guidance and assistance to programs in the uniform interpretation of directives and guidelines regarding DoD and DoN policies in support of military and civilian personnel.
• You will establish criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of program or organizational goals and objectives.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating administrative support programs to advise management on improving the efficiency and productivity of operations for military and civilian organization.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
