As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue01:00 PM - 09:00 PMWed01:00 PM - 09:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements. Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, client procedures, and applicable regulations. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
