Must-Have: 1 year acute care experience as a licensed therapist, open to first-time travelers

Description:

- Unit: Occupational Therapy

- Number of patients treated per day: 8-10.

- Number of therapists working per day: 8-12.

- Common diagnoses/types of patients include neurologic conditions such as CVA, MS, Parkinson's, and Guillain Barre, as well as patients with general medical issues, orthopedic needs like total joints and fractures, cardiac conditions, and oncology care.

- Acute inpatient rehabilitation is the primary focus with coverage needed for all medical floors.

- Experience with floating to other facilities may be required, though it is infrequent.

- EMR system used for charting is EPIC.

- A manager is present on each shift, with an on-call supervisor available on weekends.

- Rehabilitation aides are staffed, but no Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are utilized.

- Scheduling consists of four 10-hour days per week, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

- Weekend requirements include working every other full weekend or one weekend day per week.

- There are no holiday requirements.

- Scrubs or business casual attire is accepted.

- System orientation and training classes for documentation are provided during the first 3-5 days.
