Skilled Butcher/Meat Cutter Job Posting:

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour (starting rate dependent on experience/skill level)

With a reputation for quality and consistency, Sterling Foods is looking to add to our successful and veteran cutting department.

Job description:
Meat Cutter with exceptional knife skills (must be able to work with all species). The job position is full-time; Monday through Friday (weekends off).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Cutting, de-boning, trimming, grinding and packaging various meat products to customer

specifications & requirements.

·         Portion cutting to specifications.

·         General warehouse work in a cold storage facility.

·         Maintaining clean equipment and work areas to uphold health and sanitation standards/regulations.

Job Position Requires:

·         Early morning start time (2:00AM); daily hours vary.

·         Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

·         Exposure to cold warehouse conditions (40 degree range).

·         Ability to work on feet for hours at a time.

·         Help with plant clean-up (maintaining health standards).

**PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE WHOLESALE MEAT INDUSTRY IS IDEAL**

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a meat cutter or butcher with strong knife skills and familiarity with various cuts of meat
• Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong understanding of food production, preparation, packaging, and storage techniques
• Culinary experience or training related to meat cutting is a plus

Work Location:

In-person 920 Grand Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85007

Hours:

Monday-Friday 2 AM – 10 AM

Overtime hours are available
