AWS Senior Python Developer

Salary: $130,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; a masters degree is preferred.
• We require 8+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years working with Python in production environments.
• We require strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database integrations such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• We require hands-on experience deploying in AWS cloud environments.
• We require experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
• We require familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• We require a solid understanding of application security and NIST/FedRAMP-aligned development standards.
• We require familiarity with cloud formation and deployment using SAM templates.
• We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government clearance.

• We design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and APIs using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, and Django.
• We lead efforts to modernize and refactor legacy systems into microservices running in secure, containerized environments.
• We integrate solutions with AWS-native services including Lambda, RDS, S3, and DynamoDB.
• We collaborate with DevSecOps, data engineers, and UI/UX teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• We write and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests using tools such as PyTest.
• We ensure all code meets security, scalability, and 508 compliance requirements.
• We mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and technical architecture discussions.
• We support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
