Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Stroke Unit (Night Shift)

This position offers a 12-hour night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, with a requirement to work every other weekend and selected Mondays and Fridays as outlined by the scheduling guidelines.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy cardiac and stroke unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in telemetry and be comfortable managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. This is a fast-paced environment where turnover is high, and nurses must be adaptable and efficient.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and stroke patients, including pre and post-operative care.
• Manage multiple drips such as Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Effectively monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure best patient outcomes.
• Participate in the admission, discharge, and transfer process of patients while assisting with high patient turnover.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting.
• Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Must have telemetry experience and be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
