They will be a key contributor towards advancing research programs through various stages of preclinical drug discovery. This is a laboratory-based position requiring high productivity, effective and frequent collaboration with colleagues within the oncology group and other various cross-functional groups in the organization. This position requires versatility, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and high-level alignment with the Team leadership.Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will:Design and execute sophisticated in vitro experiments, and interpret data for validation and characterization of new therapeutic agents and targets to progress programsSupport the generation of comprehensive and well-designed pre-clinical data packages in support of various programs, including for IND readiness for First-In-Human (FIH) studiesRoutinely perform cell biology techniques. Experience in cell culture, characterization of cell lines/tissue lysates by western blotting/qPCR/etc, cell proliferation assays including Incucyte-based assays, flow cytometry/FACS, CRISPR gene knockout and Lentiviral transduction of stable cell lines, cell imaging and other functional assays, etc. is needed.Analyze, prepare, and present data to internal stakeholders and project teamsWork independently and perform multiple experiments simultaneously to generate robust data packages and align with scientific strategies and demands.Contribute to various projects outside of their own, and collaborate with team members from all relevant functionsKeep up to date with the literature related to the field of prostate cancerDemonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communicationQualifications / Requirements:Required:An M.S. with at least 2 years of relevant experience or a B.S. with at least 3 years of relevant experience, performing progressively advanced duties at the Associate Scientist level, or the equivalent training/experienceStrong cell biology and assay development skills are requiredA robust background in cancer biology and drug discovery is requiredPrevious experience screening and characterizing biologic and small molecule leads is requiredProficiency with software such as GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, and Microsoft Office is requiredDetail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational and record-keeping skillsPreferred:· Experience in Prostate cancer research is preferred.Intellectually curious and well-informed about the latest scientific advances in the fieldDemonstration of creativity and novel approaches to solving scientific problemsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, internally and externallyExcellent oral and written communication skills.
