HOUSEKEEPER - Family Health Center of Harlem

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, performs routine housekeeping duties as well as minor repairs when needed.

* Knowledgeable about and follows infection control/universal precautions.

* Practice general safety procedures while performing housekeeping tasks.

* Appropriately uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

* Employee completes daily assignment checklist.

* Ensures that waste generated within the health care facility is collected, transported and disposed of properly.

* Participates in the department's performance improvement activities.

* Maintains patient /employee confidentiality in the management of information.

* Displays courtesy, tact, and patience during interactions with all members of the staff and extended community.

* Is punctual and maintains a satisfactory attendance record.

* Employee uses equipment and supplies appropriately.

* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Observes the Health Care system's compliance policies.

* Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements.

* Identifies learning strengths and needs.

* Utilizes learning resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Required minimum of (3) year experience working as a Housekeeper preferred in the Health Care field.

* Experience with cleaning equipment including extractors, floor buffers and stripping machine.
