Heating Air Conditioning Technician

Contract: 6-month contract to hire Schedule: Start day shift but need to be open to day, swing, night, based on business needs (7am - 5pm EST, some Saturdays) Must-Haves: 5+ years of HVAC commissioning or controls experience Hands-on experience with BAS/BMS systems (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, etc.) Strong experience with programming, configuring, and testing HVAC control systems Ability to perform functional performance testing and system diagnostics Knowledge of sequence of operations and controls logic Proficiency in reading mechanical and controls schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Plusses: Experience with energy efficiency or LEED commissioning Electrical controls and low-voltage troubleshooting experience Prior experience leading commissioning activities on large projects Knowledge of integration with other building systems Day-to-Day: Program, configure, and test HVAC control systems and BAS platforms Execute functional performance testing to validate system operation Troubleshoot control sequences, sensors, and system integration issues Validate system performance against sequence of operations Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and controls vendors Develop and document commissioning reports and test scripts Support system optimization and handoff to operations teams Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Senior HVAC Commissioning Technician (Programming & Systems Testing) for a top engineering and construction client.
