Front Desk Coordinator

The Department of Public Safety at Pepperdine University maintains a hospitable and secure campus environment while respecting the rights and dignity of each individual, in line with the University's Christian mission. The Front Desk Coordinator supports the efforts of the Department through scheduling, coordinating daily operations, and providing superior customer service to community members. The Front Desk Coordinator will also assist constituents with matters related to parking permits and reservations, managing the onboarding and offboarding logistics for DPS staff, and providing regular office maintenance. Duties Provide superior reception services and support to all who seek assistance on the phone, online, or in-person. Oversee vehicle registration process, including requests for special passes and parking reservations. Maintain and organize the supplies and equipment that support departmental operations, such as signage ordered from Printing Services, refreshments, office and booth supplies, and departmental furnishings. Oversee and interact with front desk student workers. Maintain and share events in the departmental operational calendar. Assist with onboarding and off-boarding process for all new and departing DPS employees. Arrange maintenance needs for all departmental facilities and designated equipment. Responsible for the organization and tidiness of the office, hallways, briefing room, storage cabinets, and other shared spaces. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Required High school diploma. General office and administrative experience. Proficient in Google Suite Previous database system experience. Ability to multitask and manage heavy visitor and phone traffic. Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to organize and prioritize changing workload. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills, including a pleasant disposition and an ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact in sensitive situations. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidential information, exercise sound judgment, and work independently. Preferred Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with Pepperdine University. This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position. Expected Pay Range: $22.95 - $25.50 per hour The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
