Duties

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and appliances using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
• Install new HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings following HVAC design specifications.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, such as refrigerant lines or water connections.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute repairs or installations.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on work performed, and communicate findings clearly with clients.

Skills

• Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
• Mechanical knowledge of HVAC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and valves.
• Familiarity with construction practices and property maintenance standards.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for complex systems.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC design principles is a plus.
• Skilled in appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair.
