Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); valid Respiratory Therapist license; no minimum experience required.
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist provides intensive respiratory care and patient transport, evaluates patients, explains procedures, operates ventilatory equipment, performs chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and monitoring such as oximetry and capnography. Responsibilities include reviewing chest x-rays, performing EKGs, pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placements, maintaining accurate documentation, and following all policies related to laboratory and treatment procedures. The role includes performing CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, managing mechanical ventilation, and communicating effectively with physicians.
