In this pivotal role, you will provide essential technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while collaborating closely with Project and Client Managers to ensure client expectations and budgetary goals are met. You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers on a wide range of healthcare projects, partnering with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines to deliver comprehensive, innovative solutions to our local and regional clients. Offer technical training and development for staff. Assist in establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the electrical discipline area. Act as Engineer of Record. Provide on-the-spot advice and decisions – technical and cost estimates. Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants. Serve as the technical interface with code officials and contractors. Required Skills & Experience Accomplished professional electrical engineer (PE). Existing licensure in NC is preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive technical experience in the design of normal and essential power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems on large and small, complex, healthcare projects. Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget.
