- Assess patients of all ages using standardized evaluations and observation techniques.
- Create customized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions focused on aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to implement cohesive care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress outside of treatment sessions.
- Conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adjust therapy techniques to address diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
