Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, Allen, TX 75013 Work hours: PRN/Nights (7P-7:15A); Variable shifts, weekend and holiday requirements; Minimum of one shift per week Emergency Department Highlights Flexible scheduling that helps with work/life balance Educational and career growth opportunities including specialty certification Fast‑paced, high‑volume department averaging 80‑90 patients per day; serving a diverse population Department engagement encourages staff meetings Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma in nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

  1. year of experience as a registered nurse required
  2. years of experience as an RN in an ED acute care setting preferred
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course upon hire preferred A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast‑paced environment.
