Job Summary:

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to work as part of the Contract Services team in the daily production requirements for all functions of the department.

Job Duties/What You'll Do

• Count and divide food items (salads, entrees, baked goods, etc) for production and Contract Services clients.

• Follow sanitation requirements as prescribed by county, state, and federal authorities.

• Obtain products from storage areas; weigh or measure products according to recipes; portion hot and cold food components; package and label meals and products; move products to designated storage or transportation area; clean and maintain equipment and work areas.

• Assist with training and work with student employees, coworkers, and managers in service to our customers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED;

• ServSafe certificate or similar food safety course certificate, or pass ServSafe exam within the first year of employment.

• Previous food service or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Detail oriented;

• Ability to work on multiple tasks;

• Basic math skills with very high accuracy;

• Basic employment skills: reading, oral and written communication;

• Able to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast paced, team oriented environment;

• Able to follow health and sanitation standards by maintaining food temperatures, cleaning and sanitizing supplies, and proper personal hygiene;

• Ability to engage our customers with an attitude of willingness and dedication to serve;

• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
