ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Environmental Protection Specialist
You will serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist in the Special Staff branch of Station Environmental Division of the Installation and Logistic Department, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
You will provide technical assistance to businesses and public agencies on environmental matters.
You will prepare detailed reports documenting findings and violations.
You will coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on environmental enforcement.
You will develop and present environmental training and outreach materials.
You will personally review and comment on internal and external reports and documents submitted by federal, state, tribal, or local environmental agencies and support contractors, addressing the effects of proposed military activities on environment.
You will determine which procedural laws require full public disclosure of environmental impact, alternatives, and mitigation measures expected from proposed actions.
You will develop project plans for long- and short-term goals and objectives for the Installation Restoration program.
You will be MCASY's expert in regarding requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as implemented by the Marine Corps, Title 40 CFR, Part 500 Council in Environmental Quality and Code of Federal regulation Part 775.
