We are committed to using evidence-based practices and fostering a supportive environment that encourages recovery and growth.Work EnvironmentOur state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic is located onsite within a hospital facility, ensuring a collaborative healthcare environment. You will work alongside a passionate team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, who are all dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility needed to respond to patient needs and clinic operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, focusing on recovering mobility and strength.Guide and instruct patients through a range of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to enhance physical well-being and alleviate pain.Provide education and guidance to patients regarding proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to support their rehabilitation journey.Administer various modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to facilitate recovery.Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength improvement, and functional capabilities.Prepare and organize treatment spaces and ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are readily accessible for therapy sessions.Collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for patients, helping them stay motivated throughout their rehabilitation process.Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.Patient Population / Client FocusThe physical therapy program serves a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, age-related mobility issues, and more. The PTA will be vital in adapting treatment approaches to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of each patient, ensuring their experience in therapy is productive and encouraging.QualificationsAn Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is mandatory.A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.Thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.Demonstrated proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities, working collaboratively with a Physical Therapist.Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to rehabilitation.Ability to adapt treatment techniques to suit various patient populations, adjusting plans based on individual responses and conditions.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills needed to manage documentation and workflow efficiently.Preferred ExperienceWhile not mandatory, previous experience in a hospital or clinical rehabilitation setting is a plus and will enhance your ability to integrate into our fast-paced environment. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies can further support your role within our team.Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience.
