Special Education Teacher

You’ll work closely with students with intensive and diverse learning needs, collaborate with clinical and behavior teams, and receive ongoing interdisciplinary support within a highly structured model. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Colorado academic standards. Design differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs. Provide instruction using a variety of teaching models. Ensure legal compliance in special education. Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with BCBAs, SLPs, RBTs, and administrative teams to implement individualized support and accommodations. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals. Lead and participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and team collaboration. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies. Support implementation of positive behavior interventions and skill generalization. Ensure compliance with special education documentation and timelines. Participate in professional development and ongoing training. Support crisis prevention and de‑escalation in coordination with trained staff. Other duties as assigned. What we are seeking Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field. Current Colorado Special Education Teaching License with appropriate endorsements (or in progress). Experience developing and implementing IEP goals. Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills. Student‑centered, strengths‑based approach. Availability Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm for on‑site work. Preferred Qualifications Experience in specialized or alternative school settings. Experience supporting students with intensive behavioral needs. Familiarity with data‑driven instruction and progress monitoring. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Ability to safely support students when needed.
