Quality TechnicianAs a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for auditing and monitoring quality requirements according to company quality assurance policies and customer specifications. Your expertise will be essential in initiating non-conformance reports, inputting, and trending key inspection process metrics.ResponsibilitiesAudit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.Initiate non-conformance reports as required.Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.Conduct, document, and report inspection findings and results, and monitor corrective actions to inspection findings.Read and interpret specifications and part prints.Ensure calibration and maintenance are performed on inspection equipment.Perform material kit audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the kitting process.Perform product identification and traceability activities as required.Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions and communicate with project engineers to ensure compliance with product schematics.Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs, and log assembly non-conformities.Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.Maintain vendor performance documentation and communication.Handle receiving and disposition of all RMA's, including creating shop floor routers for repairs.Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Quality Manager.Wear all the required PPE within the cleanroom.Essential SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.Ability to promote process improvement.Proficiency in working with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Capability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle several abstract and concrete variables.Proficiency in recognizing, defining, and using measurement and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, comparators, profilometers, protractors, scales, torque wrenches, height gauges, V-blocks, and other indicators.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to recognize, define, and use automatic gauging components such as machine vision and ultrasonic equipment.Ability to select measurement tools based on features or characteristics, applicable tolerance and accuracy, environment, and the resolution and capability of instruments.Proficiency in identifying and using protractors, sine bars, and angle blocks.Capability to use manual or programmable CMM to measure various types of features.Understanding of the 10:1 rule.Ability to determine part alignment and setup using the datum structure.Proficiency in PC computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel.Work EnvironmentThe role requires adherence to all safety and quality standards, including wearing PPE within a cleanroom environment. The position involves working with various inspection technologies and requires a meticulous approach to documentation and data management. Emphasis is placed on maintaining a clean and organized workspace, in compliance with all relevant safety and quality regulations.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
