Posting Summary Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Full Time UCHC Technician I for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center located in Avenel, NJ. The UCHC Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison. Responsibilities Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR). Assists the physician/associate practitioner with procedures, including preparing the inmate for the examination. Obtains specimen collection and handling, including, but not limited to, drawing blood. Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit. Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner. Maintains the supply stock in the examination rooms.* Aggregates the orders of all medications and forwards to the pharmacy provider / local pharmacy. Salary Minimum Salary: 21.040 Mid Range Salary: 21.540 Maximum Salary: 22.190 The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. At least two (2) years of progressively more responsible related healthcare experience involving multiple areas of knowledge, skill and abilities and demonstrating competencies to perform the essential duties of the position. CPR Certification Valid Driver's License is required. Must possess own vehicle or alternative meansof transportation from one site to another Preferred Qualifications None specified. Physical Demands and Work Environment As a first responder must have the physical capacity to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes. Physically able to assist in lifting and rotating patients who are unable to ambulate (up to 50 pounds).
