Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Recreational Therapist (RT) to provide individualized therapeutic recreation services to residents in Acomita, New Mexico. The Recreational Therapist will play a key role in enhancing residents’ physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being through structured, person-centered recreation therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive individual recreational therapy assessments for each resident at the time of admission
Use assessment findings to develop individualized recreation therapy treatment plans
Design and implement therapeutic activities tailored to each resident’s needs, interests, and abilities

Qualifications

Current Recreational Therapist (RT) certification or eligibility, as required by state or facility
