Palletizer (Temp-to-Hire)The palletizer is responsible for efficiently stacking, wrapping, and preparing finished goods or packaged products for shipment or storage onto pallets. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure that products are handled and loaded correctly without damage.Essential FunctionsOperate palletizing equipment such as strapping guns, wrapping machines, etc.Inspect products for damage, correct labeling, and proper packing before palletizingWrap and secure pallets using shrink wrap, straps, or other methods to prevent shifting during transitRead and follow production schedules and ordersCount and verify quantities and items for ordersMaintain cleanliness and organization of the palletizing areaCommunicate with production and shipping teams to ensure smooth workflowMeet daily productivity and quality targetsPerform routine safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctionsAdhere to all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesOperate palletizing equipment, conveyors, and wrapping machines to stack and secure productsManually lift, arrange, and stack boxes, materials, or products on pallets according to loading specificationsInspect products for damage, correct labeling, and proper packing before palletizingFollow production schedules and meet palletizing quotas while maintaining quality standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization in the palletizing area to ensure a safe working environmentAnd other tasks assigned by supervision or managementRequirementsEducation/ExperienceRequired:Must have a high school diploma or GED1-3 years' experience completing warehouse tasksPreferred:Experience in a warehouse/distribution center specializing in the waterworks industry or related productsKnowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc:Required:Clear, concise, and accurate communication skillsAbility to prioritize effectivelyExcellent teamwork skillsBasic mathematicsBasic computer experienceAbility to pay attention to detailPhysical DemandsAble to lift, move up, and carry materials up to 45 pounds during a 10-hour shiftWill be required to reach, stand, bend, walk, or crouch during a 10-hour shiftMust be able to be on feet continuously during a 10-hour shiftMust be able to kneel and bend at the knees frequently during a 10-hour shiftMust be able to use wrists and hands frequently during a 10-hour shiftWork EnvironmentAble to work in various climate conditionsOvertime and weekend work may occasionally be requiredSaturdays may be mandatory to accommodate the business needs
