Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the CVOR department will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including procedures such as CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, and other complex surgical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical care for cardiovascular and thoracic cases
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in procedures like CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, and thoracic surgeries
• Collaborate with surgical team and support staff during surgeries
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

Requirements:

• 2 years of CVOR experience with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
• Valid South Dakota RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with EPIC, Omnicell, and Alaris systems
