Program Coordinator

The Department of Public Health, California Children's Services (CCS) is seeking a CCS Program Coordinator* to assist the Program Manager in providing coordination and oversight of CCS programs and initiatives including countywide program operations and service delivery. Duties include facilitate and monitor program budgets and objectives; supervise and direct staff; evaluate staffing and service delivery for effectiveness and efficiency; make recommendations regarding staffing issues, caseload management, and program policy. May be responsible for project or program management. *Official Title: Public Health Program Coordinator ABOUT CALIFORNIA CHILDREN'S SERVICES The CCS Program provides authorization of diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, social work assessments and intervention, as well as physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS eligible medical conditions. Examples of CCS eligible conditions include, but are not limited to, chronic medical conditions such as cystic fibrosis, hemophilia, cerebral palsy, heart disease, cancer, traumatic injuries, and infectious diseases that may produce major consequences. Applicants must meet both of the following requirements: EDUCATION: A Bachelor's degree in public, business or health administration; accounting; nursing; social work; epidemiology; health science; or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional, administrative experience (e.g. facilitate and monitor program objectives and budget, research and data analytics for project needs including overall project evaluation, compliance activities) and leadership in a public health program, community health organization, social service organization, or closely related agency. Administrative experience must include program operations. The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor's or master's degree and additional experience in program planning/development, development of standard practices and policies, administration, and budgeting.
