TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with schools to provide Teacher of the Blind or Visually Impaired(TVI) (BVI) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality TVI (SPED) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.

TheraPeds Partners is hiring a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a part-time school-based position in Cordele, Georgia during the 2026–2027 school year . This role serves students from PreK through 12th grade and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through specialized instruction, assessment, and collaborative support.

Position Details
  • Part-time (20 hours per week)
  • August 2026 through May/June 2027
  • On-site, in-person assignment
  • Serving students in PreK–12
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Guaranteed paid hours, including documentation, planning, and administrative time
What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized instruction for students with visual impairments.
  • Conduct assessments and help determine appropriate educational supports.
  • Develop and monitor IEP goals while managing an assigned caseload.
  • Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies to support growth.
  • Partner with teachers, families, therapists, and school staff to promote student success.
  • Maintain timely documentation and educational records.
  • Offer guidance to classroom teams on accommodations and instructional strategies that support students with visual impairments.
Compensation
  • $50–$65+ per hour , based on experience
  • Approximately $1,000–$1,300+ per week

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education
  • Certification for Teaching Exceptional Children – Visually Impaired, Grades Primary through 12.
  • 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
  • Experience working with visually Impaired children
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
