This role requires balancing creativity with strategy to create content that informs, engages, and converts website visitors.In addition to writing website copy, you may help organize content deliverables, participate in website planning and content strategy discussions, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.CultureSquare 205 believes in investing in our most significant resource: our employees. We celebrate birthdays and work anniversaries each month with team lunches or happy hours and foster a collaborative environment where everyone's contributions matter.Primary ResponsibilitiesWrite compelling, conversion-focused copy for websites, landing pages, service pages, homepages, about pages, and other web content.Develop website messaging that aligns with each client's brand voice, business goals, and target audience.Collaborate with designers, developers, SEO specialists, and Account Managers throughout the website development process.Conduct client research to understand industries, competitors, products, and customer pain points.Organize and structure website content to improve readability, user experience, and conversions.Apply SEO best practices by incorporating keyword strategies, internal linking opportunities, metadata recommendations, and content formatting.Edit, proofread, and revise website copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.Participate in website content planning, site architecture discussions, and content strategy sessions.Manage multiple website projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and incorporating client feedback.When writing for the web, you'll also write Meta descriptions, title tags, and more for both SEO and User Experience purposes. In addition, we ask that you structure your content in Google Docs using our basic page structure format.ou may be required to use our SEO optimization tools when writing for the web.Use assigned SEO tools and follow Square 205's website content guidelines to optimize copy quality and search performance.QualificationsExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Experience writing website copy that is clear, engaging, and conversion-focused.Strong understanding of SEO best practices and writing for search intent.Ability to adapt writing style and tone across multiple brands and industries.Excellent research skills with the ability to quickly learn about new businesses and markets.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.Experience collaborating with designers, developers, and marketing professionals.Familiarity with content management systems (WordPress experience preferred).Understanding of website user experience (UX) principles and information architecture is a plus.Experience with SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Surfer SEO, Clearscope, or similar platforms is preferred.Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Preferred Experience2+ years of professional website copywriting experience.Experience interviewing clients to gather content and brand messaging.Portfolio demonstrating website projects across multiple industries.Experience writing content for website redesigns or new website launches.Basic understanding of HTML, website structure, or web accessibility is a plus.Base CompensationThis is a part-time contract position with compensation ranging from $2530 per hour, depending on experience.
