Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position in California requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.

Details

• NICU setting within an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Epic EMR used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU
• Recent NICU experience within the last 3 months required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
• Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior disciplinary actions on record
• NICU-specific skills checklist completed within the past year

Additional Information

• Provides patient-centered nursing care to neonatal patients based on the nursing process and in collaboration with physicians and the broader care team
• Incorporates patient and family teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegates aspects of patient care to other nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA)
• BSN is preferred but not required
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the duration of the contract
