Respiratory Therapy Coordinator

This employee serves as a contact between Respiratory Therapists and patients, scheduling appointments, managing cancellations, and working closely with the Respiratory Therapist, finding the best solutions and/or alternatives for all involved.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actively participates in the training of all Customer Service personnel, including new hires
• Answer phone calls and emails
• Make outbound phone calls to schedule patients' appointments including making reminder appointment calls
• Coordinate with Respiratory Therapist about schedules, patients, and any changes
• Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
• Deletes, corrects, or re-enters patient information in customer accounts and software as deemed necessary

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Clerical or administrative experience a plus
• Knowledge of health care terminology helpful
• Basic computer program knowledge
