Whether you're early in your career or bring years of experience, we support your development through:Mentorship from experienced professionalsOngoing technical, safety, and leadership trainingClear pathways for advancement across teams and disciplinesTuition and education reimbursementAbout the RoleIn this role, you will assist creation of electrical designs and documentation for control panel systems, using CAD tools under the direction of senior staff while ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will Do (Essential Functions):Create detailed and accurate electrical designs and drawing packages, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to project specificationsUtilize SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical to develop schematics, layouts, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers or managementExecute full-cycle electrical design and drafting tasks, applying practical design methods, technical knowledge, and industry best practicesAssist with layout and assembly of PLC control panels, enclosures, HMIs, wiring, and I/O components in accordance with UL 508A standards and company guidelinesInterpret and work from schematic diagrams, one-line drawings, and electrical data sheets to ensure correct system integration and functionalityReview designs to identify conflicts, inconsistencies, or errors in panel layouts and schematics, and proactively resolve issuesAssist in producing 2D panel layouts from conceptual sketches provided by engineers and senior design staff, ensuring accuracy and completenessSupport project engineers and managers in preparing panel designs and documentation for quotes, bids, and project planning activitiesCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, ask questions when needed, and help ensure projects are completed on timeOther job duties as assigned.QualificationsWhat You Bring (Skills, Abilities, Experience):A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is strongly preferredAn associate's or higher degree in computer-Aided Drafting, Applied Science, or related technical education is preferredOne or more years of experience in CAD design and production of electrical design documentsAt least 0-3 years of experience in conduit schedules and layout work, cable tray schedules and layout work, schematics, power one-lines, and field verification and auditing experience.Knowledge of electrical control schematics and wiring diagrams for motor controls, and process controlExperience with engineering, manufacturing, and/or oil and gas environments is preferred.Must have SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical experience.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required.Excellent organization and planning skills.Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs is requiredWork is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere.
