ED Nurse

BJC HealthCare seeks an ED Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform rapid assessments, triage, administer medications, monitor unstable patients, and coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. This role emphasizes patient safety, clear communication, and evidence-based practice. You will support patients and families through critical situations, contribute to process improvements, and advance BJC's mission of ethical, innovative, patient-centered care across our hospitals and care centers. Responsibilities Deliver evidence-based nursing care to ED patients across the lifespan Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders Monitor vital signs, respond to critical changes, and initiate emergency protocols Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care Uphold BJC standards of safety, quality, and compassionate, ethical care Required Skills Emergency patient assessment Triage (ESI or similar) IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac monitoring and ECG interpretationWound care and emergency procedures support Use of EMR/EHR systems Acute care clinical decision-making Patient and family education Infection prevention and control Interdisciplinary team collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr BJC HealthCare
