Position Overview Grounded Therapy Network is seeking a Professional Counselor to join our team as an Independent Contract Provider, with a particular focus on school-based counseling services . GTN has established strong relationships with local referral sources, including Missaukee County Courts and area school districts. Through these partnerships, we provide accessible counseling services to youth during the school day, helping reduce barriers to mental health care. We are seeking a counselor who enjoys working with youth, building community relationships, and helping develop effective systems for service delivery. This position offers an opportunity to take a leading role in coordinating school-based counseling services while maintaining the independence and flexibility associated with contract practice. Additional outpatient and telehealth counseling opportunities may be available. Key Responsibilities Provide professional counseling and psychotherapy services within the scope of individual training, licensure, and clinical expertise. Deliver school-based counseling services and coordinate with participating school districts and community referral partners. Develop, review, and maintain individualized treatment plans and appropriate clinical documentation. Coordinate client scheduling, ongoing treatment, and discharge planning. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, school personnel, referral sources, and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate. Maintain compliance with applicable licensing requirements, HIPAA regulations, state and federal laws, and professional ethical standards. Communicate regularly with GTN regarding caseload capacity, professional needs, and opportunities for service development. Participate in quality improvement efforts, professional development, and required training. Qualifications Required: Master's degree in Professional Counseling or a closely related field. Current Michigan professional counseling license or other applicable professional license. Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective professional communication. Reliable transportation for community and school-based services. Reliable internet and computer access. Preferred: Experience providing counseling services to children and adolescents. Experience in school-based or community mental health settings. Familiarity with Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). Interest in community collaboration, program development, and improving access to mental health services. Why Join Grounded Therapy Network?
