In this role, you will directly contribute to ___.What you’ll doCollaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.Create clear and concise reports to present analysis and support technical recommendations.Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues.Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.Who we’re looking forMinimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent experienceExceptional analytical and experimental design skills.Clear communication and presentation skills.Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.Preferred qualificationsPrior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $86,000.00 - $192,000.00.The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
