Description

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, whether they are in an inpatient or outpatient care context, and formulate customized therapy plans
• Implement effective physical therapy techniques that enhance mobility, develop strength, improve balance, and restore vital function
• Work synergistically with nurses, physicians, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic goals and provide education on discharge plans as well as home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress, adhering to established regulatory and facility guidelines
• Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds and care conferences to ensure a continuum of coordinated care

Education

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a DPT / Doctor of Physical Therapy
• CPR certification is preferred
