About the Role Darkhive is seeking a Digital Strategist to lead the development and support the day-to-day execution of digital marketing, paid search and media, brand positioning, and audience engagement strategies. You will shape how we communicate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, investors, and technical talent. This is a high-impact position for someone who can combine sharp strategic thinking with hands‑on digital execution experience, and an interest in national security and defense technology. The role requires expert project coordination and routine analysis and strategizing around editorial and user experience. In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Communications and Strategy and our in-house Graphic Designer. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is remote with travel up to 25% to our company headquarters or other locations. Hybrid onsite presence in San Antonio is strongly preferred. In the Digital Strategist role, you will: Develop and execute the company's overarching digital strategy and maintain our digital ecosystem, aligning marketing, communications, and business development goals across web, social, content, SEO/SEM, email, and other digital channels for optimized performance and quality control Partner with executive leadership, capture teams, and business development to align digital messaging with proposal cycles, program and product announcements, and campaigns Lead website strategy and content strategy, ensuring materials are reviewed and approved for public release Design and manage multi-channel campaigns Manage digital brand positioning and messaging frameworks that translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for varied audiences Monitor analytics, reporting, and attribution to demonstrate ROI on digital initiatives to executive stakeholders and optimize strategy and content as needed Oversee and execute SEO, paid media, and marketing automation strategy Guide social media strategy and presence and grow audience Support trade show, conference, and industry event digital strategy (pre-event promotion, live coverage, post-event follow-up) Ensure all public-facing digital content complies with security review processes, public affairs guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations Manage relationships with external agencies/vendors, as necessary Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in digital strategy, digital marketing, or integrated marketing communications, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience) Strong understanding of the defense acquisition landscape, government contracting cycles, or B2B/B2G marketing dynamics Proven track record building and executing multi-channel digital strategies with measurable business outcomes Experience with marketing analytics platforms and reporting to executive stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences Strong writing abilities with demonstrated experience in content strategy and maintaining creative assets Strong, hands‑on experience managing and building within WordPress, including an understanding of plugin ecosystems, themes, and basic web management best practices Bonus Qualifications: Demonstrated experience marketing to government, defense, aerospace, or highly regulated technical audiences, including experience working within a defense contractor, government agency, or GovCon‑adjacent organization Experience supporting capture management or proposal teams Background in SEO, AI, and paid search/social Existing understanding of the defense tech, aerospace, or national security ecosystem Physical and/or Mental Requirements: Ability to sit and/or stand for periods of time Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and other equipment with or without accommodations Ability to maintain awareness during business hours Ability to lift up to 15 pounds Excellent written and verbal communication and good command of the English language Learns and memorizes routine tasks Reasonable accommodations will be provided to any person with a disability to be able to perform the essential job functions of this position Darkhive retains the right to change or assign other duties as required for this position Selection Process: Hiring team reviews applications 20-minute pre-screen with Darkhive recruiter 30-minute phone screen with the hiring manager Take home project In-person or video interview with hiring team Benefits Darkhive offers: 100% employer paid dental and vision insurance premiums Automatic 401k employer contribution with vesting Paid vacation and personal time off 11 Paid holidays 5 days of sick leave Stock options Welcoming and friendly work environment Respect of work-life balance Darkhive is an equal-opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment against any employee or applicant because of race, color, gender (including pregnancy), age, gender identity, creed, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, genetic information, disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Darkhive, Inc.
