Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record in executive finance leadership within a manufacturing, consumer products, or inventory-driven business. A CPA is preferred, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statement preparation, monthly close management, and experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and margin analysis. The role also requires proficiency in working with banks and lenders, leading audit preparation, and a history of effective partnership with outside accounting firms. The CFO will be expected to operate hands-on in a lean finance organization while providing strategic guidance, and prior experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel-based financial reporting is essential, particularly in environments that demand process improvement and structure.
